 "Beaver Ring"
Sterling Silver 33g size 7.5 (17.7mm)

Representing the solid footwork being done as a people to continue and solidify our actions to shape our communities and educate young minds.

My work is inspired and authentic to myself. Forged through my connections and mindset that we’re all one people trying to build a future for the generations to come. Instilling a mindset of intent, with healthy actions towards the body, mind and spirit being a key to peace

  • Designed by John Velten

Born and raised in Kwikwetlem (Coquitlam), John's mixed roots stem from Europe, with German ancestry, and North-West Territories, with Dene ancestry. These contrasting lineages speak to his perspective, ability as an artist and affluence of different cultures.

  • The Beaver Symbol in Indigenous Art

Well known for its industriousness and building skills, Beaver keeps to themselves and presents only when deemed absolutely necessary. They care little for the activities of humans, except when they feel that their work is discredited or their skill insulted. The busy creatures are also known to give wise advice.
